- 1 fresh baguette, sliced OR 16 of your favorite crackers
- 1 cup Dragone® Ricotta Cheese (whole milk or part-skim)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest (optional)
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Juice from 1/2 of a lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Garnish with chopped fresh basil or tomato (optional)
Directions
Heat the oven to 325º F.
Cut the baguette into 16 slices and place them on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for 10 minutes, until crispy. (Skip this step if you are using crackers.)
Mix the remaining ingredients until combined. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the baguette slices or crackers. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or tomato (optional).
Serve immediately.
