Deep Fried Ricotta Ravioli

Ingredients

  • 15oz. Whole Milk Dragone® Ricotta cheese, drained if wet
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest (from about 1/2 a lemon)
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 1 large egg, plus 1 large egg lightly beaten with 2 tablespoons water
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Powdered Sugar

Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the Dragone ricotta cheese, nutmeg, lemon zest, Parmigiano-Reggiano and 1 egg, mix until well combined.

 

Place a spoonful of the ricotta mixture in the wonton wrapper.  With beaten egg moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper and seal in a tirangle.

 

Deep fry the wontons at 350 degress until golden brown, paper towel dry and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
